Seems like Mr. Super has indeed come through. Bungie has released a trailer for their new project. Strangely enough it did say Halo 3 at the end which means 1 or 2 things. 1. Maybe Bungie was lying to us when they kept insisting that they weren’t adding new campaign content. 2. From the looks of the trailer it looks like their project is based on Earth so it might be a different story line involving Earth somehow. If this is true why add a totally different storyline to an already existing game? Knowing Microsoft I believe they’ll come out with some game like Halo 3: The Chronicles (I made that up….so don’t think that’s what it’s going to be called.)
Call me hard headed, but everything Bungie has come out and said in the past when they busted rumors have been true. I doubt they will add to the campaign of the existing Halo 3. Think of the HD space that would be taken up by that kind of content.
Hey every one, just a reminder that tomorrow is 9/25/08. It is the anniversary of Halo 3’s Release, and the day slotted for the Halo 3 Boycott hosted by Lower the Guns. This is a last ditch effort to try and get Bungie to realize how important lowering weapons over XBL is to Machinimakers. You can check out This Video made to help rally the cause, which also shows a comparrison between Lowered and Non-Lowered Machinima. So, see you guys on other games tomorrow!
Defective m0nkey has taken the time using the “Turret Glitch” to fuse together pre-existing armor types to make some pretty cool variations. Here’s a few of the cooler ones:
You all remember the famous Traffic Cone Kill Video, right? Well, CollegeHumor.com has re-opened the case to detective analysis, and has produced a pretty funny video. Go watch it Here.
It appears that the hunt for elusive Halo 3 Easter Eggs is still in full swing, because a brand new one has recently been discovered on Snowbound. It appears that Bungie employees buried a Canadian Loon under a thin layer of ice. Check out a detailed video of how to find it at Xbox360fanboy.com.
I’m not some little kid sitting here bitching about how I can’t get to a 50 or how I keep loosing my level. I am a Halo fan that has been playing Bungie’s games since Halo:CE. I’m writing this today to bring to the attention to Bungie a problem that I have witnessed in their skill ranking program.
So here comes story time…
I recently renewed an old account about 3 weeks ago and decided to start ranking it up in team slayer. Seeing as my main account was a 46 in slayer I was well above the skill level of the people we were playing in the beginning. I first noticed that the skill ranking system had flaws in it after I won 41 straight team slayer games and only held a level 12 in the playlist. I don’t see how that can make sense.
So as we kept playing it got a little easier to rank up. Now here I am a few weeks later and I have ascended to level 48 in team slayer. This is the highest rank I have ever achieved in Halo 3 and I was quite pleased with myself and my team. Once I earned that 48 we decided to keep on trucking to 50.We won 11 games straight on my 48 and I still didn’t rank up to a 49. On the 12th game we lost. Am I going to have to play another 11 straight games and win every single one of them to get close to ranking up again?
Bungie I want to see a detailed description on how the skill ranking system works. I won’t be satisfied with a simple “oh it takes your performance in the game, the number of wins, the other team’s levels, etc, etc” Please release to the public a detailed description on how your system works because as it stands now I see it as very flawed. My team members will also agree with me that something needs to be done with the system or someone needs to explain to us why we are not ranking up.
Is there any chance in the future of seeing changes in this system? If so I would request that you go to the community and see what they think of the current system and get ideas on how to make it better.
bs angel of Hawty McBloggy has recently made some amazing of avatars out of cool screen shots she’s been seeing lately. So if you feel like a changing your avatar, you might want to check them out at I <3 Halo 3 Screenshots.
Some of the guys over on at 405th.com have worked their magic and created a set of Halo 3 Marine armor, as well as a Mjolnir Mark VI suit for the Chief. It’s not finnished yet, but it’s one of the best Halo costumes I’ve ever seen. Go check out all of the pics on their forum.
Ladies and gentlemen Shishka has announced that the Team Snipers Double Exp playlist is now operational. Go have fun!
As of right this moment, this weekend’s double exp playlist is now operational. The theme? Team Snipers. Range and reactions are the name of the game as the popular gametypes make their way from Team Slayer, and bring along a couple new friends for the ride.
Team Snipers Weekend lasts from Thursday the 8th, until early morning on the following Monday. That’s quite a lot of time to try to change the slang for Elites from “dinos” to “wamprats.” The Team Snipers weekend will require Heroic and Legendary map packs for participation. Cheers!
