Seems like Mr. Super has indeed come through. Bungie has released a trailer for their new project. Strangely enough it did say Halo 3 at the end which means 1 or 2 things. 1. Maybe Bungie was lying to us when they kept insisting that they weren’t adding new campaign content. 2. From the looks of the trailer it looks like their project is based on Earth so it might be a different story line involving Earth somehow. If this is true why add a totally different storyline to an already existing game? Knowing Microsoft I believe they’ll come out with some game like Halo 3: The Chronicles (I made that up….so don’t think that’s what it’s going to be called.)
Call me hard headed, but everything Bungie has come out and said in the past when they busted rumors have been true. I doubt they will add to the campaign of the existing Halo 3. Think of the HD space that would be taken up by that kind of content.
From the posting of this story in 10 hours Bungie will be up to something…what that something is could be anything. When you visit Bungie.net you are greeted with the same splash screen that they had up back at E3 where they didn’t get to announce their new project.
Last week I posted a story saying that Bungie and Microsoft were going to announce Bungie’s next project this week and I think it’s going to happen! They’ve been teasing us all week. 10 hours and it will all be over.
Fyrewulff has confirmed on HBO that if you raise your gamerscore above 1000 with the new achievements you will in fact unlock the Security helmet as well as the katana. Good news for people out there that couldn’t quite make it!

So…remember that story I posted the other day about Bungie announcing a new game? Seems Mr. Super is back and is ready to go. Last time he showed up was when Bungie was supposed to announce their new project at E3 before Microsoft shut them down.
Gamer.tm reported yesterday that an industry insider told them that Microsoft is going to hold an event next week where Bungie is supposed to announce their next title.
Speaking to GAMER.tm, an industry insider has confirmed that Microsoft is due to hold an event in Europe next week, where Bungie is due to take the wraps off its next game – the first title the studio has developed since splitting from Microsoft.
Unfortunately, our source – who obtained this information directly from Microsoft – was unable to confirm what that game will be. As such, it’s unknown whether the new title will be Halo 4, or indeed whether it will be related to the Halo universe in any way, shape or form.
I would like to remind everyone that Microsoft has taken control of the Halo franchise and the project is most likely not Halo 4, but if you do remember Don Mattrick slipped and said that Microsoft was working with Bungie on a game based in the Halo universe at E3 this year.
Sometime on Monday night Halo players finally reached the 7,777,777,777 kill mark in campaign. If you remember a challenge was put out to the Halo Nation to reach that number before Bungie Day, 7/7, went by. Well it only took 2 more months, but hey it happened didn’t it?
Now before you freak out lets remember this is the internet and people like to get attention by posting lies. Now I wouldn’t be posting this unless it looked at least somewhat real. I came across this video on Kotaku and thought it was pretty sweet. These are the final few hours of Pax and Bungie needed to offload a bunch of shwag they didn’t drop earlier that day so what do they do? They practice their grenade throws into the huge crowd!
Weapon lowering has been a huge thorn in machinima maker’s sides since the start of Halo 3. When ATF was soley a machinima team we felt the pain just like everyone else. People tried to get Bungie to listen in the beginning, but they seemed to ignore the outcries from the community. There is a group of people who have rallied on Bungie.net under one banner, Lower The Guns, in one last attempt to get Bungie to allow weapon lowering on Xbox Live.
Their plan is to mount the largest boycott of Xbox Live history against Halo 3 on it’s birthday (9/25/08). Now I’m not one to think anything like this will work…especially with only a few hundred people, but I figure if more and more people throw their support in something might happen. So if you support Bungie allowing weapon loweing join their group Lower The Guns on Bungie.net and boycott Halo 3 on 9/25/08.
