If you haven’t noticed today Bungie has made a lot of changes to Bungie.net. Check out the story on B.net by Mr. Lukems or if you want the lazy short version read below.

Additions:

• New news story tags that allow for easier searches within Bungie news
• “Search all news” function beneath each news story with related stories
• Revamped archive page of all past Bungie news
• New Bungie blog that showcases what is going on with YOU, the Halo Nation!
• New Bungie player for Halo related videos (Bungie posted, not users )
• Various small forum changes

So why is this a cool thing? Bungie is finally taking an interest in the little guy (or at least lets think so). It seems that this Bungie Blog is going to be like the official HBO run by Bungie themselves. We’ll see in the upcoming weeks if they report on news from lesser known sites, something I’m sure we’re all interested in.

You all remember the famous Traffic Cone Kill Video, right? Well, CollegeHumor.com has re-opened the case to detective analysis, and has produced a pretty funny video. Go watch it Here.

The guys over at Rooster Teeth have released the 1st episode of their new machinima series: Red vs Blue Reconstruction. I’m not going to give out any details, but it appears that they’re tying together all of the loose ends they had left off from RvB, Out of Mind, and Recovery One. Check out the episode Here.

Fort Contest Reminder

Hey guys, we’re a week into this contest, and there’s NO SUBMISSIONS YET. Just a reminder that you have until FRIDAY THE 30TH to submit your pics of your fort. For all of the specific rules, please see the Submission Thread on the forums.

Some people have been asking how I have my own custom avatar beside my name instead of the ATF logo. I’ve been meaning to make this post for a while so here is your how-to guide.

ATF is using a site called Gravatar which is in their words

A gravatar, or globally recognized avatar, is quite simply an avatar image that follows you from weblog to weblog appearing beside your name when you comment on gravatar enabled sites. Avatars help identify your posts on web forums, so why not on weblogs?

So how do you get yours? Simply sign up on their site using the same email you use here on ATF and upload your avatar. Your pic will show up next time the Gravatar system is updated. You don’t even have to be registered on the site for it to work. Just use the email you enter when commenting. Your Gravatar avatar will work on any site that uses it so sites like HawtyMcBloggy or GiantBomb will also display it. Happy Posting ATF.

It appears that a site known as Brusheezy has created some brushes for Photoshop consisting of all of the Emblems from Halo 2. For all of you GFX people who double as a Halo fanatic, this is a must have, so go download it Here.

It’s another MLG/ESPN Top 10 list. Featuring a lot of skills with the sniper, and a sick Spartan Laser Killtacular, this one is only topped by the famous ‘Kankles’ reference in the 1st one.

It appears that the hunt for elusive Halo 3 Easter Eggs is still in full swing, because a brand new one has recently been discovered on Snowbound. It appears that Bungie employees buried a Canadian Loon under a thin layer of ice. Check out a detailed video of how to find it at Xbox360fanboy.com.
